If you have a few hours to spare, below are some volunteer opportunities available at the Anderson Senior Center:
Receptionist/Office Helper
This position assists at the front desk. Duties include answering the telephone, making copies, greeting members, filing, shredding papers, etc.
Food Service Helper
Assist members with their trays during lunch, help with meal preparation, assist with dining room set-up.
Collating
Volunteers help collate various mailings at the center. Newsletter, invitations, etc. Hours vary as needed.
Special Event Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for set-up, decorating, planning, etc. for various events held at the center.
Transportation
Do you have some spare time each week to drive people to and from the grocery store or the mall? Senior citizens who no longer drive are in need of transportation to and from these places. Volunteers drive center vans for this task.
Meals On Wheels Volunteers
Volunteers deliver meals to homebound senior citizens in the Anderson Township area. Weekly routes are available. Time commitment is approximately 2 hours per week.
