Derby Day Horse Race Games

Dress in Derby finest, hats, gloves whatever your fancy. ASC will turn into Churchill Downs for our own version of the Run for the Roses. Enjoy horserace games, followed by luncheon featuring mock mint Juleps and of course, Derby Pie.

Cincinnati Nature Center Hike

Walk the trails of Rowe woods and enjoy nature. Center members Barb and Mike Brate will be our guides as we walk the handicapped accessible trails. We will hike for about 45 minutes and enjoy a picnic lunch at the nature center. Meet at the Nature Center or sign up for transportation from the Center.

Maureen Martin's Musical Review Dinner Theatre

Anderson Senior Center will transform into a dinner theatre featuring catered buffet dinner followed by a one-hour spectacle of song and dance from a time when music was music. The show features four professional singers and musicians. Don't miss out on this special event. The theme is "Thanks for the Memory" featuring songs from the 1930-1940's as well as Oscar winners from yesteryear. Don't miss this memorable show right here. Family and friends are welcome too. It's Pool Time at the Center
Through a gracious donation from the Hyde Park Center, the Anderson Senior Center now has a pool table. The table, located in the Meals on Wheels room, will be available most days from noon until 4:00 pm. We will begin by offering Monday, Wednesday and Friday to the more advanced "pool sharks," Tuesday will be Ladies Day/Mixed Couples Day and Thursday will be Amateur Day. Cost to play is $1.00 for all afternoon for members and $2.50 for guests. Stop by and test your skill. Play some eight ball with your friends. You do't have to be a great pool player, just come and have fun!

The Anderson (65+) Senior Softball League
The Anderson (65+) Senior Softball League will open its 6th season this May and play games through August. The games are played at 9:30 am on Mondays and Thursdays. All games are played at Riverside on Roundbottom Road in Anderson Township, just east of Newtown.

The League is well organized and all teams are balanced for competitiveness. The League has 8 teams, each with a Manager. The philosophy of the League is for Senior Men to have fun in a competitive atmosphere with emphasis on sportsmanship, camaraderie, and safety for all players. The players in the League range in age from 65 to 80+ years old. All skill levels are welcome and all players play some portion of every game.

New players are always welcome. Anyone interested in playing on either or both days should contact Tony Caruso at 513.232.0347 or facaruso@cinci.rr.com.

The Anderson Senior League looks forward to having fans come and watch the games. If you are interested in watching the Senior Men play softball or if you would like to bring a group to the game, please contact Tony Caruso.
